New site, new blog - crikey!

When we decided some months back to give the Bureau site another total revamp little did we realise what we were letting ourselves in for! At times we questioned the decision….
“Add this! Don’t forget about that! What about web 2.0?” All the staff here at Chateau Bouteiller, from the Gamekeeper to the Chauffeur had an opinion - but all of them agreed on two aspects: BIGGER IS BETTER and IT STAYS FREE!
So we took the best ideas, discarded the insane ones (thank you ‘Mad Jarvis’), and now the site not only looks a bit ‘funkier’ but is expanding in its reach - certainly you can still advertise ( a job or yourself) for free and check out the Agencies and Articles pages but we are now adding video training, polls and the like (you can even upload a webcam snapshot directly to the site!) and spreading our wings somewhat.
Who knows, even the best trained, most experienced Butler or House Manager might still pick up a new idea or slant on something domestic service related that he or she can put into practice.
The idea was, and is, to retain the site’s usefulness and yet become also something of an online magazine that you can ‘flick through’ at your leisure or, if in a hurry, go straight to the jobs page. That and to make the site a bit more interactive in that visitors can contribute too (that’s the web 2.0 definition by the way).
So while we have lots still to do (both on the site and this blog) here’s a little montage of just a few of the images we used in building the new pages and site that will give you an inkling about the new ‘look’:
