Who guards the Bureau?

Here at Chateau Bouteiller we’ve always been very aware of the threat of violence that hangs over our staff. We still have fond memories of old ‘Bournville’ who was kidnapped a couple of years back. Sad to say that we did not come to an equitable arrangement with those responsible (their demands were simply ‘outrageous’ and included us taking the Butler Bureau site off the air!)

Well that just wasn’t on and, Bournville, wherever you are, we think of you still. Hang on in there buddy!

After that unfortunate affair we decided that close protection of all at BB Central was in order and the chateau is manned by an elite squad of personal protection personnel from various Special Ops chaps of varying nationalities. We’ve got ex SAS, Mossad and Delta fellows guarding our every movement. Which can be a trifle intrusive at times.

Costs a fortune too but, obviously, is money well spent. Recently Kurt, one of the team leaders expressed surprise that we didn’t have a page on the BB site about personal security and close protection training options.

Not wanting to upset Kurt ‘the ice-pick’ Von Botha we have recently added a BodyGuard and Personal Protection page to the BB site which, at Kurt’s insistence we will be updating shortly and which we hope you might find useful. Training options for staff, companies to contact and a DIY self defense guide which I’ve just finished reading.

“Kurt? Yoo hoo!”.

So many Agencies…..

Hello and apologies for the delay in new postings on the BB Blog. Summer here at Chateau Bouteiller is intense with all those damn ‘free-loaders’ coming over for their holidays and expecting gourmet meals and service at the drop of a spatula or white glove.

Thankfully most of them have since gone back to their humdrum lives and TV Dinners. See you next year people!

SO! What have we been up to now that we are not slaving over instructing the staff who were slaving over the stoves and providing ‘top notch’ butler service for these parasites? A couple of weeks in our little villa on the outskirts of the Cap d’Antibes has refeshed us nicely.

The main thing is that we have taken a BIG STICK to the ‘Agencies’ page (2 pages now actually) of the Bureau site. Long overdue! Essentially we’ve got rid of the sites that, we felt did not offer BB users a relevant web surfing experience and have transferred (well nearly) all the sites that were Nanny specific to our child-loving sisters at the Nanny Site.

Anyway the point is that every Domestic Staff Agency featured on the Butler Bureau site has now been personally reviewed by our jaded and hungover team of reviewers.

The end result? A few upset agencies (but they do have the option to raise their game and get back to us), more satisfied BB visitors we trust and eerm, that’s it really.

So many household staff agencies out there but we felt it would be best if the top domestic staff related site on the web focused on the best of them.

Re other bits and bobs - the Butler Bureau is currently creating a couple of new associated web sites the second of which will be a ‘Dish of the Day’ blog so visitors can check out our daily menus here at the Chateau - hopefully this will help out regulars who are cooking for their clients - but BE WARNED we aren’t always uber health conscious! You’ll be informed here once it’s up but it will include your ‘Shopping List’ and, probably, a downloadable sound file to talk you through the process if you want.

Other ideas will have to remain under wraps for now but good stuff is heading your way.

Re the Staff Agencies pages, go and have a new look HERE, we hope you approve.

Get a good job !

A Bientot,
